    Canary

With the Industrial Revolution of the 19th Century the thirst for coal to fuel the generation of power became acute. Coal mining became widespread, mining accidents, usually due to explosions of methane gas emitted by the coal, also became commonplace. The canary was found to be highly sensitive to the odorless, colorless gas, and when they stopped singing or collapsed, miners knew it was time to vacate the area.

Canary Systems was formed in 1997 to likewise provide cost-effective and reliable information systems that are designed to help our clients better understand the risk factors along with short and long-term performance of their projects. We work in a broad range of industries including mining, geotechnical engineering, structural, environmental, meteorological, industrial and others. We utilize state-of-the-art technology, both hardware and software, and have years of experience with all types of applications. This spans the breadth of system architecture, hardware and software development, database development, and instrumentation. See our projects for a sample of the types of work we have been involved with.

The Company’s planned Phase II Expansion consists of an independent 4.4Mtpa hard rock plant operating alongside the existing oxide plant to deliver a significant increase in annual gold production at a low incremental capital cost. Construction of the new 4.4Mtpa hard rock plant will enable Bomboré to produce an average of 209,000 gold oz/year at a mine-level AISC of $1,121/oz for over 8 years. First gold from the Phase II expansion is scheduled for Q3-2025.  Significant exploration potential exists to expand Bomboré’s mineral reserves through future resource conversion and new discoveries from drilling of promising high-priority targets.

Orezone is led by an experienced team focused on social responsibility and sustainability with a proven track record in project construction and operations, financings, capital markets and M&A.

Sandstorm Gold Royalties provides financing to gold mining companies through gold stream and royalty agreements. Stream and royalty finance involve Sandstorm making an upfront payment to a mining partner that is in need of capital to build their mine, refinance their obligations, complete an acquisition or for various other reasons. In exchange for that upfront payment, Sandstorm receives the right to purchase a percentage of the gold produced from the mine (in the case of a stream) or a portion of the revenue generated from the mine (in the case of a royalty).

Since 2009, Sandstorm has compiled a portfolio of 250 streams and royalties, of which 40 of the underlying assets are currently in production. Sandstorm doesn’t operate the mines, limiting exposure to common operational risks. Our stringent due diligence process allows us to select some of the best mines in the world, providing stable cashflow and more exploration upside than any other gold royalty company.
