Eligibility Awarded to a graduate student (M.Sc. or PhD candidate) in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan whose research is relevant to the resource industry in Saskatchewan, with a preference to the mining industry. Although there is no formal application process, students under consideration for the award may be contacted for CVs., as selected by the faculty contact in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, and approved by the department head. Eligibility Awarded to a full-time student registered in the Construction/ Industrial Electrician, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Welder programs. One scholarship will go to a student at a Labrador campus. This award is based on academic excellence. An application form and a College Transcript or Student Progress Report is required.

Eligibility Open to students entering the final year of undergraduate studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland and majoring in a field of study that is covered by the fields of interest of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum specifically: Earth Sciences, Geophysics, Geography, Economics, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business and Commerce. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need. The scholarship will be awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards.

Eligibility Open to students in the final or penultimate year in Earth Sciences at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Scholarship standing is the principal requirement governing the scholarship but preference will be given to a student who displays outstanding character and has demonstrated financial need. The scholarship will be awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards acting on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Earth Sciences. No application required; recipient must have declared a major in Earth Sciences.
