Cameco is one of the world’s largest providers of the uranium needed to generate clean, reliable baseload electricity around the globe. Cigar Lake is the world’s highest grade uranium mine and is located in northern Saskatchewan. The innovative jet-boring mining method was developed by Cameco to mine this challenging deposit, which began in 2015. Its 530 employees commute to site via aircraft for two week work rotations.
