Nominations open for 2025 CIM Awards with updated guidelines and changes to presentation format

CIM is excited to announce that nominations for the prestigious 2025 CIM Awards are now open.

This year, we are introducing several updates to enhance the awards process and recognize outstanding achievements in the mining industry.

New guidelines for reference letters

Designed to streamline and improve the submission process, the new guidelines cover length, relevance, evaluation considerations and more. For detailed information on these new guidelines, please visit here.

New presentation format

The following awards will be recognized on screen during the CIM-Caterpillar Awards Gala:

• A.O. Dufresne Exploration Achievement Award

• J.C. Sproule Northern Exploration Award

• Barlow Medal for Best Geological Paper

• Julian Boldy Geological Society Service Award

• Distinguished Lecturers

Award winners will receive prominent acknowledgment on screen at the event as well as across social media and on the CIM website. They will also receive the awards in person at alternative times and locations, to be announced later.
