Congratulations to the 2024 winners of CIM scholarships!

CIM offers a variety of scholarships available year-round, including several provided directly by the CIM Foundation.

CIM offers scholarships to all levels of post-secondary schooling which cover every aspect of the industry. We are proud to highlight the recipients of the 2024 scholarships and awards. These talented individuals, representing a diverse range of disciplines within the mining sector, are the future leaders of our industry.

Caterpillar and its Canadian Dealers Scholarship (Mining Engineering): Philippe Marchand, Beloeil, QC (McGill University)

Scotiabank Scholarship (Open to all facets directly related to mining): Gabriel Demers, Vancouver, BC (University of British Columbia)

Dr. David S. Robertson Scholarship (Geology): Leonie Ebert, Victoria, BC (University of British Columbia)

NEW – Jim Popowich Endowment (Geology): Maya Saldanha, Ajax, ON (University of British Columbia)

We are also delighted to recognize the recipients of the Alex and Gillian Davidson Endowment Multi-Year Grants:

Congratulations to the Metsoc Student Chapter at Memorial University, which has been awarded MetSoc's Outstanding Student Chapter Award (photo below).
