As we wrap up the 2024 season, we’re reflecting on an incredible fall slate of events, connections, and growth.

We kicked off the season with a bang at ICARD 2024 (photo above) drawing 457 attendees—the second-highest turnout in 13 years. The event, organized by CIM and INAP program, featured an incredible peer-reviewed technical program and engaging field trips, setting an energetic tone for the year.

Next up was the inaugural Health & Safety Conference, where we dove into critical topics like advancing safety through technology, generative AI, mental health, leadership, and best practices. The discussions were insightful, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

The first-ever CIM Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Conference focused on the complete mineral resources and mineral reserves estimation cycle and was a standout success. With expert panels covering everything from resource estimation and environmental and social impact to mineral processing, mine planning, and finance and regulations, attendees gained valuable insights and actionable strategies. The hands-on short courses and international exchange of ideas helped forge new connections and enriched the global conversation on mineral resources.

The 4th edition of the CIM Capital Projects Symposium brought together industry leaders to share lessons, showcase successful projects, and explore evolving challenges and new opportunities. As the industry faces constant change, this year’s event highlighted the importance of staying focused on long-term success amidst uncertainty.

MRR 2024, Atlantic Canada’s premier conference on mining and mineral exploration, had a record-breaking turnout with nearly 1,100 attendees. It was an exciting event, packed with industry insights, innovation, and networking opportunities.
