Alex Foty is a finance professional specializing in the metals and mining sector, with over eight years of experience in investment analysis and corporate strategy in Canada and Australia. Most recently, she was an M&A business analyst with Newcrest Mining in Melbourne, Australia, where she played a key role in the 2021 acquisition of Pretium Resources. Earlier in her career, she was a metals & mining equity research associate at National Bank Financial before joining the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan as an infrastructure & natural resources investment analyst.  

As the founder of Scope Zero Solutions Ltd., Foty offers dynamic business development solutions for the mining and energy sectors. Beyond her professional endeavors, she is passionate about advocating for more inclusive workplaces for neurodivergent talent. 

She has earned a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from McGill University, is a CFA charterholder, and an MBA Candidate at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Her unique combination of technical expertise and strategic insight fosters innovation and sustainable growth in her field.
