Julie Hunt received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in geology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She completed a PhD at James Cook University, Queensland, Australia. Before joining the Yukon Geological Survey as mineral deposits geologist, she worked as an exploration geologist and a regional mapper. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Tasmania.
