Laura Simandl is a Building Science and Energy Engineer (EIT) with RDH Building Science Inc. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Victoria (Canada) and Stanford University (USA), respectively. Her diverse background in industry (Kryton International Inc., Allnorth Consultants Ltd., ASL Environmental Sciences Inc., and PCL Construction Inc.) and research (Carnegie Mellon University, USA) allows her to contribute to a variety of domains in energy efficiency, climate risk and resiliency, building science and materials research. She is also a technical advisor for the Public Infrastructure Engineering Vulnerability Committee Program.
