Trang Tran-Valade is an entrepreneurial and driven executive with nearly two decades of leading industry expertise in mining innovation, strategic planning, and founding companies. A graduate of the computer engineering program with the business management option from the University of Ottawa, she is a professional engineer and a certified project management professional. She is a facilitator and builder of world-class technology management and product development teams, with a specialty in both start-up and scaled growth stages. She has proven fundraising and networking skills, building fruitful partnerships with clients, and delivering multimillion-dollar bottom-line growth. In her current role of regional sector leader for mining, minerals and metals for Stantec Consulting Ltd., she supports development and execution of growth and diversification strategies, offering guidance and sponsorship on large strategic pursuits.  

For many years Tran-Valade has been actively engaged and has provided leadership to professional development associations and community groups. She is a Past-Chair of the CIM Sudbury Branch, Chapter Executive of the PEO Sudbury Chapter, member of the WISE Sudbury Chapter, Secretary of the 2019 MECA Symposium, Plenary Chair of the 2022 MeMO Conference, and currently serves as a Stream Chair of the CIM MTL 2023 Convention.
