Whether you are seeking to build industry knowledge, enhance your professional profile or raise your company’s visibility, belonging to CIM’s dynamic and influential community provides a wealth of benefits
Become a MemberAnyone with an interest in the minerals or geology industry is invited to take part in the CIM Thunder Bay branch events, most of which are offered free of charge. These events provide great networking and continuing professional development opportunities.
We hope to continue to promote and offer quality networking and educational opportunities for our members, as well as the general public in Thunder Bay. We will continue to work collaboratively with other local groups (e.g. Lakehead University Society of Economic Geologists Student Chapter; Women in Mining; Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association) in the provision of other continuing professional development events such as short courses, workshops and field trips.

CIM provides a sense of belonging, an extended family of friends and colleagues. I enjoy collaborating with CIM Toronto, supporting other chairs and committee members, and organizing events that bring people together. It fosters industry connections, understanding, and support – it feels like a family.
