In recognition of an excellent paper entitled "Evaluation of the Efficiency of Several Airborne Electromagnetic Systems: Exploration Implications."

Li Zhen Cheng completed her M.Sc. In Metallogeny from IRSN-Georessource-Laval University and holds a PhD in Geophysics from UQAM-UQAC. She holds a post-doctoral degree at Carlton-Ottawa University Geosciences Centre, and currently is a professor and research scientist at UQAT, as well as an adjunct professor in UQAM.

Cheng teaches mathematics to engineering students and trains young geophysicist graduates on the development of the geophysical data interpretation tools and on the application of geophysical methods to mineral exploration as well as to solve environmental problems. She published more than 40 scientific papers, research reports for the industry and government on the integration of multiple geophysical data with 3D geological models and airborne geophysical data interpretation.
Associate editor for EMG journal, Cheng also reviews many publications such as Exploration of Geophysics, Physics and Chemistry of the Earth, Pure and Applied Geophysics. She has been the president of the Committee for PhD thesis defence.
